Please, I beg you. Fremont, Toronto, Chicago, Dallas, Newark. All these servers and more are constantly, regularly, terrible connections for me and many others. There’s only one server remotely close to me that works, Seattle, and since you didn’t even fix the server select I rarely get it. The beta and first week of launch were so good, so I know it’s not a netcode issue.
I’m not the only one with the issue. The game is so good, the only thing that will kill it is people not being able to play online. Please, at least address that this is an issue that you’re working on cause the silence is deafening.
I live in new york and have no issues with newark or toronto, it must be something with your connection. If Seatle is your best connection, then newark and toronto (east coast servers) are going to be bad for you, theyre far away.
The reality is, if the server is outside your time zone, it’s probably not going to work very well because fighting games just don’t function properly on the same distances that other games do.
I’m glad you don’t have issues, but many other people do. I don’t expect to have amazing ping everywhere, but at launch and in the beta weekend all the servers with decent ping around me also had low rollback frames. Now almost every server has consistently 5+ rollback, peaking up to 10 or higher. It’s not my connection that’s changed…

server issues literally killed the game for me, i couldnt get a single match under 90 ping and crazy rollback in about 9 straight days of ranked so i finally uninstalled a few days ago. hopefully they’ll do something about it before more people reach the same conclusion as me
like you said, betas and first week of launch were amazing so i dont know what happened, i think the aether team is getting scammed by the server provider and getting throttled or something tbh
btw isn’t it funny that there’s always some moron who feels the need to drop a “i personally don’t have issues so it must be your connection” like we dont see dozens of daily reports from people all over the world
i agree its so frustrating because the longer the game goes on the worse they seem to get.
This needs to be addressed. The game worked beautifully the first two weeks. Lately every game is unplayable with constant high spikes of delay and rollback frames.
This even happens when I’m connected to the server twenty minutes from my house. This game is going to hemorrhage players if the servers are not fixed.
The server need to be addressed or 1v1s should be moved to p2p.
It would be great if the developers acknowledged this problem.
