Wrastor Projectile Change#1705

I feel like the fact that wrastor side-B does not create slip stream on shield creates the same problem it was meant to solve. Wrastor without slip stream out means you camp and hold shield and wait, wrastor with slip stream out means you run away and camp, and whiffed means you can go in.

I think the actual issue here is that slip stream beats projectiles and aerials. He can whiff punish pretty much anything from full screen and then obtain his massive advantage. I’d be fine with it working on shield if I could nair through it or even if it beat other projectiles but lost to moves. Right now it doesn’t feel like Wrastor “earns” your fearful shield holding. He just gets it by default.

Ya I agree anyone whose goal was to camp out, till wrastor threw his slip stream is still gonna do that except now it’s easier and more effective due to the shield change, making it a more appealing option to go for.

if the goal is to keep interactions aggressive then I think bringing back earlier slipstream with different nerfs (that always activates unless parried would be better). The nerfs would be if the wrastor gets hit while the stream is up he goes into that cooldown animation he currently does when he misses. This automatically would turn the best counter play to slipstream from I’m gonna camp to I’m gonna hit him. If for some reason this is still to broken I believe just increasing the cooldown of slipstream to say 10 seconds instead of 5 after the wrastor gets hit to be better. Only problem is I have no clue how this would work in the ditto, maybe make slipstream only work on the wrastor that spawned it first.

Honesty i think it needs to go back to the r1 slipstream. Can be thrown at anytime and is up. But is negative on hit, no hitstun just an interruption, and if you get hit the slipstream goes away.

This also makes it where he can slipstream in areas that in the long term it wouldn’t help but the short term allowed him to get the hit.

Because the very reason that wrastor is camping so hard is because without it his character just doesn’t work rn.
