parry and CC are both bad options as spam prevention#1733

I actually like where parry and CC are in the game, but neither prevent you from spamming your moves like crazy. CC feels less committal but also less rewarding and parry feels like a hard call out.

I’m not sure exactly what the solution is here, but I’d imagine it would be something along the lines of whiff lag (however much you want to add, add more) and aerials maybe being higher so more moves could function like maypul dash attack and get under them? Just spitballing but I’d like spam prevention

I also think the game’s fun factor would benefit from a few frames of recovery being added to most moves in the game. As it is, it is extremely hard to whiff punish, and with certain characters having long-lasting hitboxes that come out fast and only commit you to the move for a short time (looking at you Ranno), it can feel unfair to try to get in sometimes.
