Remove Ability to Ban Stages in Casual#591

Not sure why I’m booting up for Casual matches and I have to wait and play the pick and ban stage game.

Alternatively, they should let you submit custom rulesets to your opponent, including random stages, just like in R1

I see the reasoning behind the request – essentially – “if you call it casual, then lean into it”.

However, I will say, I like the pick and ban on casual. I use Casual to warm up before rank or to test new characters/strategies and part of that is messing around with what stages I want to pick/ban.

I guess it depends on what casual mode really is. If the point of casual mode is allow practice while not impacting rank then I think the pick/ban is sensible. But, if the point is purely for “whatever is fun” – then I think sure – pick and ban is a waste and it can be pure random.
